For customers
NeoSeva costs you nothing
Asking for work, seeing prices, booking and cancelling are all free. You pay the Seva partner directly for the work. That money goes to them, not to NeoSeva, so NeoSeva cannot pay it back. If something is wrong with the work or the price, report it on the job, or ask us for a call (see Contact us).
Cancelling
- Before you book, you can cancel your request at any time. Seva partners can then no longer send prices on it.
- After you book, you can cancel until the Seva partner marks that they are there. If they have said they are on the way, please call them first, so they can turn back.
- Once the Seva partner marks that they are there, the booking cannot be cancelled. The job is finished with your code, or you report a problem.
- NeoSeva never charges you for cancelling. Every ending in the app says that nothing was charged to you.
For Seva partners
What your balance is
- Your balance in NeoSeva Partner is money you add ahead of time for NeoSeva's own fee. When a job is finished, 5% of what the customer paid, the job's final amount in the app, comes off it.
- It only pays that fee. It cannot be spent anywhere else or taken out as cash, and it has no end date.
- A cancellation, a no-show or a report never takes money from your balance. If we take a fee by mistake, we put it back, and your passbook shows the line and why.
Adding money
- You add money by UPI through Razorpay, in your own UPI app, once your ID check passes. You can add from ₹100 to ₹10,000 at a time.
- The whole amount you pay is added to your balance.
- When it is added: only when Razorpay tells us the money arrived. The app never decides this by itself.
- While it is being checked: the app says it is checking for your money. A payment still being checked is never shown as failed. If your bank is slow, the app says that your bank has not told us yet.
- If paying did not finish: if money left your bank account, it is added to your balance by itself once Razorpay confirms it. Razorpay keeps checking with your bank for up to three days.
- If money left your bank account but is still not in your balance after three days, ask us for a call.
- Money that reaches us before your ID check passes is still added to your balance.
While your account is open
Your balance cannot be taken out as cash while your account is open. It stays there, with no end date.
When you delete your account
- Paid money you did not use is paid back to you by UPI. We send it when you delete, without waiting for the 30 days. Usually it goes back through Razorpay to the UPI it came from, and reaches you in 5 to 7 working days. You get the whole amount back.
- Fees are taken from gift money first, so as much as possible of what you paid comes back.
- Gift money from NeoSeva is not paid back.
- If you owe NeoSeva money when you delete, nothing is paid back, and what you owe stays in our records.
- If you log in again within the 30 days, your account comes back, but money already sent back stays sent back.
- If a payment of yours reaches us during the 30 days and you do not come back, that money is sent back the same way on day 30.
If Razorpay cannot send it back
- If Razorpay keeps refusing a refund for two days, our team sends it to you by UPI by hand, and records it.
- Razorpay cannot refund a payment older than about six months. That money, and money you paid us directly that our team added to your balance by hand, is also paid back by UPI by hand.
- If Razorpay cannot be reached, we keep trying through Razorpay, because the refund may already have gone through, and paying again could pay you twice.
